Happy New Year!!!
We just got back from a long weekend in NJ… celebrating a belated X-mas holiday with my family. Now that I’m back and raring to go, I dug up my last post of 2007 to see if I had any New Year’s Resolutions and to see what my thoughts were on the previous year. I got this idea from The Missus at On Common Ground. Great idea! Thanks TM!
This is what I had to say:
To wrap up this year… I vow to make three food blog resolutions. One, I will continue to try new places on our bi-weekly date night and report back to you in a candid and [hopefully somewhat] humorous way. Two, we will try to bring our son out to eat more… so we can provide you parents –who lack babysitters — with tasty and kid-friendly options as well. Lastly, I will strive to post a minimum of one time a week… but more like two or three!
Hmm… I think I did pretty “OK”. I did continue to try new places… though our bi-weekly date night didn’t happen nearly that often due to the “me not working” factor. For number two — bringing our son out more — we did “OK” in that realm as well… but again, not as much as I would have liked b/c of finances. Lastly, I wanted to post a minimum of one time a week — and I did great with this. For 2008, I had 494 posts! NICE! I guess I’ll need to do better this year.
Resolutions for this year then? Let’s see…
-
Try a new recipe and blog about it at least once a week
-
Post a minimum of 500 times in 2009
-
Lose 10 pounds (hey… doesn’t everyone want this?)
-
Eat more organic and environmentally friendly foods
-
Recycle at least 50% of all trash we put out (we are probably at this now… but I want to verify it)
-
Get a job so we can start date night again — and keep it as a regular thing!
-
Make my son eat dinner at the table at least 5 days a week
-
Drink more water
-
Incorporate at least 3 new methods of living green
-
Get my family photos organized (yeah right)
How about you guys? Any good ones???
