Sunday Gorge Fest

If stuffing your face during the Super Bowl on Sunday isn’t enough, head over to West Roxbury to start your day with a mongo breakfast as well.

Auntie B’s Place (1881 Centre Street) is holding their first-ever “Breakfast Bowl” on Sunday 2/3/2008, beginning at 5:30am for your freakishly-early risers.

Two “teams” of breakfast specials (Team Centre St. vs. Team LaGrange) are squaring off to see who is the more delicious and most ordered special. On Team Centre, we have: Banana and Cream Cheese Stuffed Brioche French Toast served with whipped butter and real Vermont maple syup. A South Beach Omlet made up of egg whites, spinach, tomato and imported swiss cheese, served with fresh fruit or yogurt and granola. Or… Fuji Apple and Marscapone Cheese Pancakes, served with whipped butter and real Vermont maple Syrup. On Team LaGrange, we have: Buttermilk Pancake Breakfast Sandwich with sausage, bacon, egg, cheese and real Vermont maple syrup. Roasted Red Pepper and Buffalo Mozzarella Omelet served with crispy red bliss home fries and toast. Or… Fresh Blueberry and Ricotta Pancakes served with whipped butter and real Vermont whipped cream.

For every special ordered, a point will be awarded to that appropriate team. The team with the most points, wins the coveted Silver Spatula Award. Even if you just stop in the restaurant or order something off the standard menu, you can still vote for your favorite team.

The incentive (other than stuffing your face with some delicious breakfast goodies)? A portion of the sales during the Breakfast Bowl I will be donated to local charities.

Hmmmm, I wonder… if I eat before 7am do the points count?

Because I would say I was going to order the South Beach omelet, but really I would want the Banana and Cream Cheese Stuffed Brioche French Toast.

Which would be like 87,433 points I think. If I am using this points finder correctly.

    *sighhhh*

And thanks for the nice comment! I totally linked to you so that my two readers can find you as well.

    :)

    Points, schmoints! ;)

Thanks for linking… I’ll do the same!
