In Hyde Park, the River Grille is under new ownership/management as of last week. I don’t know many details, just that the owner sold out (I was given the scoop by a chair on the Hyde Park Main Streets committee). Also in Hyde Park, still no word as to when Townsend’s or it’s accompanying coffee shop is going to open. Come on guys, we’re dying here!

Rumor has it that the Real Deal we know and love is opening a second location in Jamaica Plain. For those of you that don’t know, the owners of the Real Deal also own the Brookline Spa.

In West Roxbury, the big news is that Jeff Fournier, owner of 51 Lincoln, has taken over Vintage. Expect a new menu and a “Look and Feel” change to the interior. Goodbye steakhouse, good ‘ol boys feel!
