Slacker…

Boy… ever since the month ended and my commitment to a “list a day” ended, I’ve really been slacking. I guess I need to get my butt in gear and aim to post every day still.

Granted, I’ve been a little busy. I had the crazy notion that I could easily host an impromptu going away party for my neighbors tonight and still pull off a 10am playdate — where I’m serving mimosas, brunch goodies and snacks to about 15 adults, 7 or 8 two year olds and a few infants!

So what’s on the menus? For tonight, I am making Lobster Ravioli in a brown butter & sage sauce, Broiled Medjool Dates, stuffed with manchego cheese and wrapped in prosciutto, Shrimp Cocktail, a [takeout] Sushi Boat, 5 or 6 different types of Cheeses with crackers, fruit, fig and almond bread, nuts, dried fruit and homemade Rosemary & Garlic Foccacia, baked Brie & Raspberry in Phyllo bites, Chips & Dip and some neighbors are bringing things as well.

For tomorrow, I have a Tomato, Feta & Spinach Quiche, a Fruit Salad, Mimosas w/ fresh squeeze blood and naval orange juice, homemade Blueberry & Lemon Scones, Mini Waffles, mini Bagels with Smoked Salmon and Nutella & Chopped Pistachio Bruschetta.

Mmmmm…..
