Well… it IS open, but only for dinner so far. I was not able to get down there today, but will try one day this week (depending on what time they open).
My boss went for dinner on opening night and thought the food was “pretty good”, but pricey for Hyde Park. He was very excited to also here that they plan to have FORTY beers ON TAP! Right now, they are up to 20… but plan to have the others up and running soon.
They are supposedly going to offer a ‘bar menu’ as well, that will sport more affordable food selections.
Thanks for this. I have to say that I live up the street and didn’t even know it was open–not very good marketers… I wonder if you have ever made it to Ron’s Bowling Alley on HP Ave next to the police station–according to Nat’l Geographic, Ron’s makes one of the best ten ice creams IN THE WORLD! Well, that is arguable, but it IS good. And a great place to go candlepin bowling with the kids. You should check it out.
Bumble– No, I haven’t, but thanks for the tip! I have only become familiar with HP the last 8 or 9 months… since working there. I will definitely check Ron’s out!
