On May 31st, from 10:30am to 3:30pm, the Beehive is hosting “The Bark Brunch” — a dog-friendly brunch that benefits the Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS).
According to the press release:
“…Bostonian’s and their pet pals will be treated to an al fresco dining experience complete with menu and fare for both human and pooch alike! Sure there will be the good ol’ eggy items for us two-legged folks via the Beehive – but, the good people at Polka Dog Bakery have also jumped in providing your furry friends with menu selections of:
Beggin’ & Eggs Benedict:
Poached egg topped with a turkey patty over a Polka Dog biscuit
-or-
Blueberry Woofles:
Whole wheat mini waffles stuffed with blueberries and topped with a small dab of a yogurt cream cheese blend
Human food will be served a la carte with prices ranging from $5 – $20; and your choice of the two doggie items listed above are $5 with a percentage of proceeds going the Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS’), which is the only national nonprofit dedicated exclusively to protecting companion animals, CAPS’ foremost concern is the abuse and suffering of pet shop and puppy mill dogs. Oprah would be so proud! “We truly appreciate both The Beehive and Polka Dog Bakery making this effort to assist in our important cause.” said Deborah Howard, President of the Companion Animal Protection Society based out of Cohasset, MA.
Make your way down to the Beehive for the food n’ fun on their newly opened patio called “The BEEch” – no reservations accepted – so run don’t walk – but make sure all puppy pals are on leash!”
Sounds like a howling good time! (sorry, couldn’t resist)
