UPDATE: According to Parkway Boston, there are plans for a liquor license transfer hearing at City Hall on July 9th (my b-day!) and Alfredo’s is trying to acquire the Vintage license. Looks like the rumors are true.

And this is definitely just a rumor…
That the now defunct Vintage Restaurant will house an additional location for the Quincy Italian fixture: Alfredo’s. I’ve never been… but the reviews are good.

I am quite happy about this. Italian is my version of comfort food. Delfino’s is great… I just don’t always feel like waiting for a table. The former Vintage space is huge… hopefully that means a table will always be available for me when I need my fix of Shrimp Scampi.
Let’s see if the rumors are true…
You forgot about the best italian place in west roxbury, Tonys Place.
You know… I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve never been! I haven’t really heard anything about it and it doesn’t look like much from the outside. What do you recommend?
It has been open since 1969 (same owner) Family style place where u never get a bad dish. Veal, chicken parm cant go wrong. Pizza is always great. They also have a dish that is called chicken picasso which is dynamite.
Thanks for the tips! I’ll have to give them a try. I’m a Jersey girl you know… so “good pizza” is a very objective thing!
I’m always willing to give a place a shot though… I’ve heard they are kid friendly, so maybe I’ll drag teh 3-yo in there one of these nights.
