Argentina Wine Event at Townsend’s

Fall is in the air…and so are the Wine Tasting Events that have resumed at Townsend’s in Hyde Park.
Beginning on Monday September 22nd, Townsend’s will be hosting regularly-scheduled wine dinners — beginning with an Argentina wine event. Additionally, they are featuring four Oktoberfest beers on tap as part of their Fall Beer Specials…. including Harpoon and Berkshire Brewing Company (for you locavores), as well as Spaten and Hofbrau (both from Germany).
They will also be featuring Cambridge Brewing Company’s Organic Pumpkin Ale to kick-off this fall event.
The menu for the wine event includes the following:
Featuring BenMarco Malbec and Crios Torrontes
Introduction and hosted by Vic Zelinsky
Appetizer
Mapema, Sauvignon Blanc
Seared giant scallop with fennel and citrus salad over baby arugula
Second Course
Crios Cabernet
Braised veal Locro stew with chorizo and sugar pumpkins
Entree
Susanna Balbo Malbec
Grilled skirt steak with corn and queso empanadas topped with traditional chimichurri
Dessert
Port & Truffles
Hand-made truffles by Rosaleen (co-owner) served with a selection of ports
The price for the evening is $55 per person, excluding tax and gratuity.

I was at this event last night,, it was wonderful! I love Townsend’s,, I typically eat there 2-3 times a week. The owners and staff are all wonderful, the food is delicious!!! I cannot wait until they do more events like this and am looking forward to going again!
