Verrill Farm Dinner

The Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro has announced a fundraising dinner to benefit The Verrill Farmstand Fund. Verrill Farm (in Concord, MA) suffered a devastating blow a few weeks ago when an electrical fire destroyed their massive farm stand. Verrill Farm is a mainstay that has been supplying many of Boston’s famous restaurants and locavores with fresh and organic produce for years. Show your support by attending this dinner on October 13, 2008. There will be two seating’s – one at 6:30pm and the other at 8:00pm.

For $60 per person (not including tax and gratuity), you get a pre-fixed 5-course Autumn Harvest Dinner, with your choice of the “Field” menu — for you vegetarians or the “Pasture” menu — for you carnivores. For an additional $25, you can add wine pairing for each course (2oz pours). The menus look delicious! I have my eye on the Orange and White Carrot Pudding, served with summer truffle and baby pea green salad and the Fiddle Head Tomme, served with aged cows mild cheese (from Walpole, NH) and beach plum jelly.
