Apple Pie — Part Deux

dsc00060 Apple Pie Part Deux And… wait for it… wait for it….

dsc00061 Apple Pie Part DeuxIt’s pretty darn good! One thing I neglected to mention in my previous post was that jackass over here (that would be me) accidentally put in 1/3 cup extra of sugar. Somehow, 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 doesn’t equal 2/3. Go figure. That’s what I get for using a 1/3 cup measuring device. In any case, it was a bit too sweet, but I think if you follow the recipe I detailed below, it would be perfect. Definitely a nice twist on the classic.

Now we just need to see what The Husband and 3-yo think. I’m not holding my breath… as the 3-yo has never had apple pie and will therefore, probably not be willing to try it. He’s weird that way. I don’t understand how it is that he’s my child, but I guess he is.
