Father’s Day Feast — Meal 1 (Breakfast)

Phew… am I glad that’s over! And as you can see by this picture… I had a pretty big mess to clean:

So… what did the day hold? First up was breakfast… with the help of the 4-yo. We made Daddy scrambled eggs with cheese, turkey sausage and homemade orange juice! Here is how things panned out (pun intended!)…

First we started with 3, organic, free-range chicken eggs:

We scrambled them up good (and no, that’s not coffee in the 4-yo’s Starbucks cup… that’s homemade apple juice):

Then we broke apart some of Daddy’s requested cheese — good ‘ole American singles:

We added the cheese into the eggs and mixed well. Mommy added a little water the egg mixture, because this makes the eggs come out fluffier:

Then we scrambled away… (and yes… the 4-yo WAS eating popcorn at 9am):

In the meantime, mommy sliced the peel off three, large, navel oranges:

And then the 4-yo fed them into the juicer (and yes, that IS a new juicer ~ more on that later!):

Hmmm….

Mmmm….

Viola! Breakfast is served!

Even the puppy wants in on the action:

Up next? Corn and blueberry muffins for a mid-day snack… stay tuned!
